Your mid-year reset: 10 questions to ask yourself before the rest of 2026

We’re halfway through the year (wtf?!) and whether you’re exactly where you thought you’d be… or not even close - this is actually the perfect time to reset.

Not in an “all or nothing, start over” way. But in a way that helps you adjust, realign, and keep moving forward. Because progress isn’t built from perfect 6-month streaks. It’s built from checking in, making small changes, and continuing on. If you’ve been feeling a bit off track lately, use these questions as your mid-year reset.

1. What have I actually been consistent with?

Not what you planned to do...what have you realistically been showing up for?

Training?
Steps?
Meal prep?
Sleep?

Your real habits tell you more than your intentions ever will.

2. What’s been working?

There’s always something. Even if progress feels slow, identify what’s been helping:

• A routine that stuck
• Meals you enjoyed
• A training schedule that felt realistic

Keep those.

3. What hasn’t been sustainable?

This is where most people get stuck. They try to force habits that don’t fit their lifestyle.

Ask yourself:

What feels hard to maintain long term?

That’s usually what needs adjusting - not more discipline.

4. Am I relying on motivation too much?

Motivation probably got you started in January, but it’s not what carries you through the year.

The people who make the most progress build systems and routines, not motivation spikes.

5. What would “good enough” look like right now?

Not perfect, not your “ideal routine”.

Just… good enough.

Maybe that’s:

• 3 workouts per week
• Hitting a step target
• Keeping meals simple

Consistency with “good enough” beats inconsistency with perfection.

6. Am I stuck in the all-or-nothing cycle?

This is one of the biggest things we see.

You’re either:
“On track” → doing everything perfectly
Or
“Off track” → doing nothing at all

The middle ground is where progress actually happens.

7. What habits would still matter in 6 months?

This is the big one, because the habits you build now are the ones you’ll carry into the second half of the year.

Think:

• Training consistently
• Eating balanced meals
• Staying active

Not extreme dieting or unsustainable routines.

8. What does my next phase actually look like?

Instead of thinking “I need to overhaul everything…”

Ask:

What’s the next phase?

Fat loss?
Maintenance?
Building strength?

Clarity makes everything easier to follow.

9. What support do I need?

Most people try to do everything alone.

But having:

• A structured plan
• Guidance
• A community

Makes staying consistent significantly easier.

10. If I stayed consistent for the next 3 months… what would change?

This is the mindset shift.

You don’t need to be perfect for the next 6 months.

Just consistent enough over the next 8–12 weeks.

That’s where real progress comes from!

A mid-year reset isn’t about starting over.

It’s about adjusting your approach so it actually works for you.

Inside TWS, this is exactly what we help members do:

• Build realistic routines
• Follow structured training
• Simplify nutrition
• Stay consistent with support

Because the goal isn’t to “get it perfect”.

It’s to keep moving forward.
